About Deb Tucker

Deb has been an avid quilt maker since 1981 and a quilting instructor
since 1983. She worked as the pattern editor for Quilting Today and
Traditional Quiltworks magazines for several years and was one of the
cofounders of Traditional Quiltworks magazine. She has taught, lectured
and judged extensively throughout the New England and Mid-Atlantic states
including the Vermont Quilt Festival and the Fletcher
Farm School for the Arts and Crafts. She has had a large number of
projects published in books and magazines and continues to do free lance
designing for several international quilting magazines. She is an
enthusiastic, knowledgeable instructor with much to offer all levels of
quiltmakers.
About Mother and Daughter Quiltworks
Janet Allen and Ann Jones - A wonderful joining of two women who have
spent the better part of their lives teaching people the art of
traditional quilt making. Janet opened her first quilt shop in 1979 in
Sanford, Maine and later moved it to Alfred at The Jordan House Inn. For
many years she was involved in local, state and New England Guilds.
Ann joined her mother in the 1980's and formed The Quiltworks,
teaching and running retreats throughout Maine. Both have many women who
are always looking for guidance, fun classes and new....

Terry Atkinson’s Lessons from Mama is a sampler quilt that
can be made scrappy or with planned colors. Janet and Ann will assist you
with easy to follow instructions that will improve and expand your range
of
quilting techniques. Suitable for advanced beginners and beyond!

DOUBLE FOUR PATCH: ECHOING SQUARES with Janet & Ann
Bring your fat quarters and exchange them with friends as
you discover new ways to cut, swap, mix and
match oodles of fabrics in this stunning scrap quilt. The quilt is made
with fabrics in similar shades with the
same light beige fabric in all the four patch units that form the chains.
This pattern is from the book Simple
Strategies for Scrap Quilts by Lynn Roddy Brown and is suitable for
advanced beginners and beyond!

DRUNKARDS PATH & BEYOND with Deb Tucker Learn how to quickly and easily construct various curved units
that will result in
absolutely unique and
one of a kind
Drunkard's Path quilts.
These units are unlike
any you may have
attempted in the past.
Their construction will
be simplified with the
use of Cheryl Phillips
"Cut A Round" tool.
Deb will walk you
through the piecing
processes and guide
you in the design
phase as each student
develops their own
individual project.
Purchase of the Cut A Round tool and Book will be required. The
possibilities are endless! Recommended for those with sound
rotary cutting and machine piecing skills.

ATLANTIC FLYWAY with Deb Tucker A phenomenal pieced wall
hanging or the beginning of a
medallion quilt. This original
design will cover such
techniques as "Fast Flying
Geese", "Migrating Geese",
Quick Cut Kites, Freezer Paper
templates, and more. Deb will
guide each quilter through the
construction phase with care
and confidence and every
participant should come close
to completing the project
during the extended weekend
time frame. The project
requires intermediate skills in both cutting and machine piecing.
Learn Deb's trademark secrets for
quickly and easily constructing a
Hunter's Star quilt. Her patented
tool and technique streamline the
construction of the traditional
Hunter's Star block. Each student
will be able to quickly and accurately
assemble the blocks with maximum
efficiency and little stress. Deb will
then help all explore a number of
design variations so that each
participant will end up with a unique
project. A medium to large size quilt
can be the end result of the
weekend's activities. Class best
