EARLY CLOSING

We will be closing the shop at 3:00 on Saturday, September 23 to attend a wedding.
 

If you have stopped by lately, you have probably seen our beautiful new sign, the U-shaped driveway and the parking area. Please park in the parking area and not in the ‘U’. We are trying to make exiting TGQS a bit safer by having the ability for all vehicles to drive out onto Pleasant Street instead of backing out.

Our block of the month for 2006/2007 is Monterrey Medallion by Atkinson Designs.
Starting September 13, we will meet once a month thru May 2007.
This beautiful quilt can be made in many sizes and is best suited for those with basic knowledge of rotary cutting and machine piecing. Please call for more info.

Machine quilters from around the state recently met to form Maine Machine Quilters, a group of long arm & short arm quilters whose goals include a show with machine quilted only entries, establish a library, host programs with local and guest instructors and to have the ability to communicate and share information with each other. President Alison Miner has already created a Yahoo group site where over thirty members have signed up! Meetings will be held every other month, alternating Saturdays with Sundays. The next meeting date is Sunday, October 15th at 11:00 am in the conference room of Down Home Mortgage, 147 Gardiner Rd in Wiscasset.
Annual membership dues are $20.00. Let me know if you would like more info.
