Spring is in the air! We still have plenty of snow and below freezing temperatures during the nights but you can feel the warmth in the sun, the birds are singing and, well, I just think it “smells” like spring! Of course, it is way too early here in Rangeley to be able to get out to work in the yard and garden so take this time to finish up those winter projects or, better yet, whip up a new “spring-y” table runner for your kitchen! We have new floral fabrics, new table runner books, patterns and kits. We have also been doing a bit of spring-cleaning to make room for all the new fabrics arriving soon so stop in to check out our “Spring Cleaning Clearance SALE.”

25 Maine Quilt Shops are participating in the 4th Shop Hop, which begins on April 1 and continues throughout the month. This year’s Shop Hop sponsor, Quilting Treasures, has designed a quilt for the hop.

Visit each shop to collect pieces of the pattern and to qualify for the grand prize – a BabyLock Escape, donated by Sanford Sewing Machines. Each shop will also have door prizes and give-aways. You may begin your hop at any of the participating shops by picking up your passport. Get it stamped at each shop you visit, and then just drop off your completed passport at your final shop! Have fun and we are looking forward to seeing you!

Our daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Shawn, gave us our 2nd grandson, Parker Daniel Smith, on February 5th! He’s a cutie just like his big brother, Evan!

SO WHAT ARE CHARM PACKS & JELLY ROLLS???

Charm Packs are collections of 5” squares of an entire line of fabric. The packs contain 25 to 50 different pieces in each bundle. The bundles cost vary, depending on the number of pieces per bundle.

Jelly Rolls contain forty 2 ½” precut strips of fabric from the newest Moda fabric lines. Forget all that cutting – get right to the sewing!!
